You can use separate FTP accounts to administer your content if you have several Internet sites within one and the same web hosting account. You can grant different persons access only to given directories, for instance – web developers or IT professionals from the company, and be sure that they won’t be able to access any other files or anything else within the website hosting account, since the FTP accounts have restricted access. Also, you can create and administer several different websites simultaneously with a website building application like Dreamweaver or FrontPage (as these applications make use of FTP to connect to the server) and upload the website files both when you create them and when you modify them. An important part of doing these tasks is the possibility to create and administer your FTP accounts swiftly and easily.

FTP Manager in Cloud Hosting

If you open a cloud hosting account with our company, you’ll be able to access the very powerful FTP Manager tool, which is included in our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel. The tool comes with a number of different options, aside from the possibility to set up or remove FTP accounts. You’ll be able to see the access path for each account and by clicking on it, you can change it so that the account will access a different directory. Auto-config files can be downloaded too, so you will not have to set up anything manually – you can simply download the specific file for Core FTP, CyberDuck or FileZilla and install it on your personal computer. To make the management itself simpler, the FTP Manager will permit you to view all the accounts that you have set up in alphabetical order, based on either the username or the access path.

FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated server accounts are managed via the easy-to-use, custom-built Hepsia Control Panel. One of its sections, the FTP Manager, is dedicated to administering your FTP accounts and all of the things related to them, so you will be able to administer all the accounts swiftly and seamlessly. It will take one mouse click to create a brand-new account, to delete an existing one or simply to change its password. You can also see the full list of all your accounts in this section of the Control Panel and, for the sake of convenience, you can sort them in alphabetical order – descending or ascending, either by their access path or by username. Modifying the path for a particular account is also pretty easy – you will simply have to click on it and select the new folder in the pop-up that will appear, so you won’t have to create a whole new FTP account if you simply want to specify what web files an existing one can access. You can also make use of auto-config files for widely used FTP software programs like Core FTP and FileZilla.
