A catch-all email mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent addresses under the very same domain name. For example, a message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one single mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you’ve got a cloud plan with our company and you wish to enable the catch-all feature for a certain email mailbox that you have in the hosting account, it will take literally only one single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available next to each and every email address that you have created under any domain hosted in your account. You can pick one single email address per domain by clicking on the respective button. This will activate the feature right away, so all email messages sent to miswritten email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button again will disable the catch-all feature. In case you have active email forwarding, our system will exhibit a warning notice and you will not be able to enable the catch-all feature till you remove the forwarding or you can simply choose a different mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be configured with a few clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated plan with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up mailboxes under any domain hosted there. To enable the catch-all feature for a specific mailbox, you’ll need to click on the icon with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling this option can be achieved in the very same manner and will not require more than a click either. If the catch-all option has already been activated for a certain domain, you’ll receive a warning alert. The same goes if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never alter or deactivate any feature automatically.
