A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to inactive email addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Just one mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an out-of-date address or has made a mistake. The negative aspect of using a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of unsolicited bulk emails, but this problem can be rectified using an anti-spam filtering solution. It’s also crucial to keep in mind that a mailbox with an active catch-all feature cannot redirect incoming email messages to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Website Hosting

In case you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a cloud website hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any email mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel includes quite a lot of features, but it’s unbelievably user-friendly, so setting up a catch-all mailbox takes just a click. All the email addresses that you have will be shown in this section in alphabetical order and you will only need to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the given address. Our system will alert you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and takes yet another click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be set up with a couple of clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated plan with our company. The hosting account will be managed through our custom Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up email addresses with any domain registered there. To activate the catch-all feature for a given mailbox, you’ll need to click the logo with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each email address. Disabling this feature can be done in the very same fashion and will not take more than one click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been activated for a specific domain, you’ll get a warning notice. The same goes if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never deactivate or edit any feature automatically.
